Lead Product Owner for Marketing & Sales applications

You will work closely with the Product Management, Marketing & Sales and Integration teams as well as other business stakeholders. In this role, we expect you to have technical understanding of solutions of the Marketing & Sales domain to drive it  to the next level with the domain development teams. We also expect you to have managerial experience and a proven track in leading change in larger entities as well as projects. This position reports to the Manager FrontOffice Solutions and is part of the FrontOffice Solutions team responsible for Sanoma Learning’s business applications.

In this role you are responsible for the Marketing & Sales IT area. You will be leading a growing team of business analysts and application specific Product Owners  located in different Sanoma Learning countries. Furthermore, you define stories and prioritize the team backlog, while ensuring that development follows the strategy and maintains the conceptual and technical integrity of the features. You are also helping product management to determine domain vision, scope and roadmap in collaboration stakeholders. 

Our candidate has relevant experience and is responsible for the Marketing & Sales domain, which includes knowledge of CRM and commercial processes. A professional with enthusiasm to drive change  to lead the team towards the best possible solutions. Applying  managerial skills to build the Marketing & Sales domain, responsible of delivering the right things at the right time.

What we are not looking for is a marketing or sales professional. This role is not about increasing sales, finding leads, planning the marketing actions or improving our product according to customer feedback. This position is in Technology and the Lead Product Owner leads development of marketing & sales platforms in order to better serve our internal marketing & sales teams.

Experience required 

  • A minimum of 3 years work experience as a Product Owner or in a comparable role;
  • Ability to drive vision and purpose for a domain
  • Ability to drive change
  • Experience working as a manager of a team
  • Expertise in Salesforce 
  • Experience working in an international setting with distributed application development teams across several countries
  • Cross-functional knowledge and strong at collaborations, i.e. ability to steer the end-to-end process and understand how it fits together;
  • Fluent in English;
  • Knowledge of Marketing & Sales domains
